STRING ORCHESTRA

At Kūlia Academy, we believe that music is not just an art — it’s a powerful tool for building discipline, creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Our String Orchestra program, led by renowned instructor Michael Russell, offers students the opportunity to explore the world of music through violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

Why Strings?

Learning a string instrument engages both sides of the brain, strengthening memory, focus, and problem-solving skills. It also fosters collaboration, perseverance, and emotional expression — skills that support students’ success not only in the arts, but also in math, science, and beyond.

A Comprehensive Music Journey

Whether our students are beginners or already experienced musicians, everyone is welcome in our orchestra. Students learn:

  • Fundamentals of technique, music reading, and ensemble performance
  • Classical repertoire as well as modern and culturally diverse works
  • The art of listening, leading, and performing as part of a team
Through rehearsals, workshops, and live performances, students grow into confident musicians ready to share their talents with the community.
